ETIQUETTE COURSES
At North Raleigh School of Etiquette, our core program follows five fun and engaging courses: Primary Manners, Table Etiquette, The Art of Conversation, and either The Elegant Lady (Parts 1 & 2) or The Confident Gentleman (Parts 1 & 2). Step by step, students build real-world confidence, social grace, and the skills to feel comfortable and capable in any setting.
All courses are offered in three 1-hour sessions or two 1.5-hour sessions, held Sunday afternoons in North Raleigh, NC. Classes are divided into three age groups: K–4th grade, 5th–8th grade, and 9th–12th grade, ensuring age-appropriate lessons and activities for every student.
PRIMARY MANNERS
This foundational course introduces students to the essentials of courtesy, respect, and kindness in everyday life. Through interactive activities, role-playing, and fun challenges, children learn how small gestures—like saying “please” and “thank you”—create a big impact on how they are perceived and how they make others feel. In addition to core manners, the course also touches on the basics of table manners, common courtesy in public spaces, and how to give and receive introductions with confidence.
TABLE ETIQUETTE
In this hands-on dining course, students learn how to approach any meal with confidence, courtesy, and grace. Lessons cover proper place settings, napkin use, polite eating habits, and how to handle utensils and glassware correctly. Students practice dining conversation, showing gratitude to hosts, and navigating both casual family meals and more formal occasions. By the end of the course, each student will feel comfortable and prepared to make a positive impression at the table—whether at home, in a restaurant, or at a special event.
THE ART OF CONVERSATION
Students develop the confidence to start, sustain, and gracefully end conversations in both social and formal settings. This course teaches the balance of speaking and listening, asking thoughtful questions, and responding with poise—skills that make every interaction more meaningful and enjoyable. In addition, students will learn technology etiquette, ensuring they can communicate respectfully and effectively through emails, video calls, text messages, and phone calls.
